Artist Statement:
I’m drawn to the quiet beauty of early mornings, the warm glow of sunset, the magic of the aurora, and the captivating behaviour of wildlife. As a wildlife and landscape photographer, I love capturing the natural rhythms of this wild place—how animals move through their habitat, how a mother cares for her young, and how light transforms the
landscape. I aim to capture moments that reflect the bond between mother and young, as well as the harmony between wildlife and their environment. Through my work, I hope to foster a deeper connection to nature and inspire commitment to wildlife conservation.

About the Artist:
Originally from Germany, Simone moved to Canada in 2003 and quickly developed a deep connection with Jasper and Jasper National Park, which she has called home ever since. She has a profound love for animals and nature, and her passion for photography was passed down from her father.

Over the past 20 years, Simone has fine-tuned her skills by photographing alongside respected Canadian and international photographers. Her dedication has taken her to remote locations across North America and around the world, capturing wildlife in their natural habitats. She continually studies animal behaviour and learns from other photographers to create compelling images.

Simone’s work has been featured by Canadian Geographic, BBC Earth, Parks Canada, and several other organizations, alongside various local newspapers and community events. She hopes to dedicate more time to volunteering with animals and exploring new remote places to observe wildlife in the wild.
