"To raise awareness of the visual fine arts in Jasper, Canada, by supporting the development of an artistic community."

The Jasper Artists Guild (JAG) was established in 2001 by a dedicated group of artists who recognized the need for an organization to promote visual fine arts within Jasper, Alberta.

In its formative years, JAG showcased artwork in commercial spaces, local restaurants, and the Jasper Museum.

By 2003, JAG had transformed Jasper's historic Heritage Fire Hall into the colourful Brushfire Gallery, which hosted art exhibitions for nine consecutive years.

In 2016, JAG officially opened its current location, the Jasper Art Gallery, housed within the Jasper Library and Cultural Centre. Exciting plans are underway for spectacular 25th Anniversary programming and celebrations in 2026 you won’t want to miss!

Our contemporary, proudly LEED-certified, two-storey gallery attracts art enthusiasts from across the globe. Bathed in natural light, it showcases a striking river rock wall, sleek cast concrete floors, and professional display systems.

JAG deeply appreciates and relies on the support of individuals and organizations who champion our mission through art purchases and donations.

Land acknowledgment: The Jasper Art Gallery is situated on the traditional territories of Treaties 6 and 8 and is deeply respectful of the Indigenous stewards whose ancestral land it occupies; We honour their rich cultures as fundamental to artistic life in Jasper and to the work of the Gallery.
